A perfect day in Paris Combo Tour: Louvre, Notre Dame Island and Seine Cruise.

1 - Tour
As a major European capital, Paris is brimming with history. At the turn of every corner, you are confronted with jewels from the past; elegant Haussmannian architecture, proud statues commemorating French glories, even an obelisk from ancient Egypt can be found in a popular square. Experiencing the most significant of Paris’ treasures in one day seems an overwhelming prospect, but not with this tour. Our itinerary has been specially designed to include the sights that are simply unmissable, both from the land and the water, in just one day.

Highlights
- Priority access to Louvre to view the famous Mona Lisa and others
- Explore the origin of Paris with a guided walking tour of Île de la Cité
- Enjoy a relaxing cruise on the Seine river

Begin your whirlwind tour at Notre Dame Island, also known as Ile de la Cité, the ancient island where the city of Paris was first founded and the seat of its most famous church, Notre Dame. Do as millions of Parisians have done before you and stand before this Gothic masterpiece, deciphering the visual morality tale engraved into its facade – with the help of your guide, of course. Your expert guide will entertain you with the intriguing history of this Parisian icon, from her construction through surviving the French revolution and the recent fire, as well telling you stories about the treasure she has guarded for many years.

Having explored Paris on foot, it’s now time to discover it from by boat! With your pre-booked ticket there’s no need to wait in any lines – board your evening cruise and float down the Seine, sailing under some of Paris’ most famous bridges and admiring the sights that crowd the river banks. Watch in awe as the Eiffel Tower comes into view and see it in a completely new perspective from the water, allowing you to capture the perfect photographic memory from your day in Paris

As your visit comes to an end, you’ll have 3.5hrs of free time to let the anticipation build for your afternoon tour. You can choose to have lunch in one of the restaurants suggested by your guide or visit the Eiffel Tower on your own.

Then, it’s time to meet your guide for your afternoon tour of Paris’ most famous museum, the Louvre. We have selected the highlights from this vast collection – 35,000 pieces are currently on display – and crafted a curated route that ensures you see the very best of the exhibits in just one and a half hours. Sail past the crowds with our Skip the Line access and let your guide take you straight to instantly recognizable masterpieces such as the Winged Victory of Samothrace, the Venus de Milo, and of course, the Mona Lisa, and listen as they bring these iconic artworks to life with insightful and entertaining commentary.
Your small group of 25 people or fewer will ensure you move swiftly from room to room, making the absolute most of your time while affording you the opportunity to ask your guide any questions you may have.

Others
Customers will be given the ticket for the cruise by one of our representative in the morning, and they just need to show it to the Vedettes de Paris staff before getting on the boat. Please note that customers are free to take the cruise whenever they wish but we highly recommend the departure time at 12:00. There won’t be a representative at the cruise departure point.

From its breathtaking medieval centre to its 21st-century temple to Surrealism, the new Magritte Museum, Brussels offers the visitor a great deal more than just beer and chocolate and is resoundingly unlike its unfortunate staid image as the home of EU bureaucrats. Indeed, Brussels is a creative, dynamic city. Its compact city centre is clustered with bars, restaurants and museums set along cobbled streets. Inevitably, most tourists head to the Grand-Place. With its ornate Flemish guild houses, impressive Town Hall and buzzing atmosphere, it would be difficult to find a more beautiful square in the whole of Europe. It deservedly is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is the city’s crowning jewel. Wander next to the nearby Royal and Sablon districts teeming with art galleries and antique shops. Throw away your map and meander down a myriad side streets, discovering flea markets, art-deco houses and boutique stores. The Bruxellois take pride in their self-effacing, intellectual sense of humour, underpinned by a strong appreciation of the bizarre. The city has a long-running love affair with the Surrealist art movement, pioneered by René Magritte, and with classic comic strips, epitomised by Hergé's boy hero, Tintin. There's a telling irony in the fact that the city's best-known landmark is the Manneken-Pis, a tiny statuette of a urinating boy. Meanwhile, all of this sits alongside world-class collections of art, fabulous cooking including mussels, frites, waffles and whelks, some of Europe’s best and unique beers (literally, there are thousands of varieties), and master-chocolatiers. The city’s cultural calendar is packed with events for everyone from the massive, raucous Foire du Midi street fair every July teeming with stalls and fairground attractions to the legendary Christmas Market that takes centre stage in the Place Sainte Catherine with 240 stalls, a skating rink, a big wheel, and numerous rides. One of the biggest events is Art Brussels, showcasing the city’s edgier, creative side and a hub for art connoisseurs from around the globe. If you’re a Euro-loving national, check out the European Quarter, centered around Schuman and the Berlaymont. Its liveliest part is the Place du Luxembourg: all its bars fill up around 6pm on week days with some of the 20,000 diplomats, politicians and civil servants who reside in the city after Brussels became the centre of international political following WWII. Open your eyes and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by all that Brussels has to offer.

- Visit the magnificent Church of Our Lady in Bruges

The Saint Bavo Cathedral, named from Saint Bavo of Ghent, is the seat of the diocese of Ghent. The original Chapel of St. John the Baptist, built with a wooden structure, was consecrated in 942. The church became the Cathedral in 1559. Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor was baptised here. Whilst here, you will have the option to view the famous Mystic Lamb Painting (not included).

The Church of Our Lady in Bruges was originally built in the 13th century. Its 122 metres tall tower is the tallest structure in the city and the second tallest brickwork tower in the world. In the choir space behind the altar is the tomb of Charles the Bold, last Valois Duke of Burgundy built in bronze over black stone. The main attraction of the site is a white marble sculpture of the Madonna and Child created by Michelangelo around 1504, purchased by a merchant and later donated to this church.
